And since mr yoda is apparently bringing crap tires, I will beat his piece of crap german car as well. damn germans...
I bow before Chris Warren! I literally ran up to him as we were gridding up and said I'MNEWTHISISMYFIRSTTIMECANIGETARIDEWITHYOU? He kindly took me under his wing - both rode with me and let me ride with him our first 2-3 runs.

OH. MAH. GAWD. It was great to witness a master up close, and to have his feedback when I had the wheel.

I know lots of yall have awesome skills and I'm sure many of you are just as generous of spirit so expect me to be hitting you up for a ride if you have a passenger seat.

      I'm lookin at you, German-car-hater!

My how this post has gotten out of control! LOL...

Ricky, glad to hear that your clutch situation is all taken care of. I am considering putting a four puck sprung ceramic disc in my car when my stock OEM exedy clutch gives it up (7,000+ RPM down shifts)....<argh>

ISC Racing sells one for like 80 bucks! And since my car basically has NO power...I am planning on keeping a stock pressure plate. What I would really like to do is throw in a lightweight flywheel and a 12A tranny....can we say "close ratio gear box for 100 bucks?" But if I do that, my ITS dreams would not be realized...lol. Definately need some type of more powerful clutch disc. And I don't know about the 240, but doing a clutch job on my car in the shop is a pain in the ass...

Anyways, since I will be doing the "newb" thing this weekend, I will be the second person to offer you to take the wheel in the RX-7 for a lap...

        -Vincent.

Did you not get passed enough at TGPR? I mean, don't get me wrong-I love passing as much as the next driver-but GEEZ!!!

OK well I better give a report for everyone's benefit, too. When I bought my car in July, I hated the pedal set-up. The brake is stupid-high compared to the gas, even when I stand on the brake, the gas is miles lower. Terribly uncomfortable getting between them, not to mention inefficient.

Well, I am getting that adjusted tomorrow. Yeah, a whole inch, baby. I'm sure this will cut a good 30 seconds off my 80 second best of my first solo last month.

So you Cavanaughs and whoever else shows up in B Stock, yall just better look out.

            YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

            [snicker]

Well instead of doing the adjustment, you could always "rally" it...you'd have to be pretty quick with the ole' footsie's to do that though....lol.

To get there at 7, we'd have to leave here around 5:45 or so I believe. My TomTom says it'll take you an 1:45 to get here from Cullman.

Make it a little earlier if we decide to add an offroad stage over Mt. Cheaha.

                You do the math...............
Lets see, 5:45 Ttown less 1 hr for Cheaha is 4:45, less 1:45 from Cullman is 3:am. That means Mike C would have too start about 2:15 am, and Wally ....... Wally would not be able to go with us 'cause he would have had to start yesterday.

Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...... again.

I have an actual newbie question about Sunday.

Everybody works some and drives some. Got it.

For folks who do the early work stints - waivers, course set-up, etc. - is that our "work" for the day? Or do we also work a shift during the day?

The only folks exempt from working during the event is the early waivers folks.Sometimes that isnt even possible when we have low turnouts .Sorry.

I can make exceptions for folks on a case by case basis at times .

Nooooooo problem-I'm sure I'll find an opportunity to get a ride or two over the course of the day. And maybe recruit some folks to ride along with me a time or two - that was so helpful! Thanks, Ricky. Seeya Sunday.

I confess, I have big love for VW. My first car was a 72 Super Beetle, tomato red. I'm a big fan of the Jetta, too. Of course, VW and Porsche are kinda sorta cousins.

So what exactly are you driving?? Picture?
