Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

    John,
I went on line and registered and paid. I cannot find the weekend membership that I was assigned. I didn't write the number down and it doesn't show up anywhere I try to pull it up. I will need it when I join SCCA to get the discount right? Also will someone be able to sort of give me some guidance when I get there? I will get there early.
    Thanks,
    Barry H.

You will receive a weekend membership form on site. Hopefully from the wavier station when you arrive. You will fill it out there and bring it with you to check in and we will give you a copy that can be used for your discount.

Matt, does axware generate a w/e membership directly through national when the driver signs up online? Wouldn't national bill us twice if you do one at the event too?

Its been a while since I had direct contact with that stuff...just wondering.

No. If you are not a member you are not required by AxWare to input any data for SCCA. you simply register as a non-member. We handle all weekend member paperwork on site.

that must have changed then because I remember back when we first started doing it , the ORM would issue a weekend membership number if you werent an SCCA member.

It was impossible to keep up with

I don't think it does that. I've never seen it at least.

Barry said to me in a PM that he did receive a WE membership number when he registered online. He did not write it down because he thought it would be on his receipt. I can not verify how this works as I have not registered as a Non Member before. This is something we will have to look at. Maybe we need to do a test run, or is there another way?

After a quick glance over the lists on axware, it looks like we or someone has to activate the weekend membership. All the ones given out expire 00-00-0000 so they are not active. I'm going to keep looking at this and maybe shed some light later today.

Cholewa, please look it over. That's news to me, but it could help with the situation of not having enough waivers on site.

We have received a ton of waivers, so we will have plenty.

Something to consider ... do we want AxWare to handle it? Would it be easier to leave it like it is and just do waivers on site? I'm pretty sure we only pay for the numbers we submit after the event and AxWare doesn't do this for us so we shouldn't be paying twice for non-member online registration currently.

It looks like at some point we had activated the SCCA Weekend membership thing, but with axware what it did was give you the member price?

I can't find anywhere to deactivate, but the number of people with weekend #'s versus total number of people is pretty small, so I don't really think it's going to cause any hubub. I don't think I have access to turn that on/off, but there are only something like 12 people who have the weekend #, half of which haven't used axware in years, and a few of which are already SCCA members.

I'm pretty sure it's set up for payment purposes only.

There is definitely a non-member price set up. When you create an account you can add your SCCA info in there. If you don't have a valid member number, you are set up to pay the non-member fee. Not sure where the weekend membership info may be or if it's able to be turned off.

But, for now, it doesn't look to be causing issues. We can continue to handle on site.

Axware charged me $40 dollars and I am not sure if that is right or not. I did run one time in huntsville last year with a lot of encouragment and coaching from Darryl Engle so I probably don't get a "first time" discount. I had planned to get the weekend membership number that they assigned and join SCCA at the discounted rate. I think I did everything right except for writing down the number. There was no waiver to fill out on Axware as far as I can determine.
