Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

WOW!!! While it is nice that its all one piece, I could quite easily make a very similar piece for half the price. That's right, $500 for CF lip and splitter that would actually attach to the chassis of the car. Some people just need to use more imagination and resourcing than throwing money at a problem.

This is just my take on autox, but I enjoy the low-budget aspect of this sport. I always thought of autox as trying to do more with less. Making a $1,XXX.00 lip/splitter out of CF....(in the words of the NFL countdown crew)...."C'mon Man!!!"

There is a whole different level of prep for Nationals, way beyond the pale to some for a $40 jacket. I went on a dime not a dollar this year and except for 6 minutes, had just as much fun as those who put thousands into their cars. Next year I'm upping it to maybe .25c.

Same here, I love autox so much just because I can actually afford it. I think just about everyone here would love to have a career racing, but its soooooo expensive. So unless you started when you were 4 or have lots of money, its tough. If I can go faster on budget upgrades, I'll do it.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.

                    Darryl,

is that a custom (homemade) sway bar he is running? It looks just like the one that most of the Jeep guys run on their buggies.

what is up with the "sock" over the coilover? Is that a miata thing? I'm just wondering if I need to get a sock to cover my shock, so i can be quick (um i'm stopping now because I am starting to rhyme.)

With Bill there is no telling, I do like the sock thing though.

It looks like a speedway bar. ISC Racing sell them for Miata's I didn't know they would
work on the stock sway bar mount.
