John does this help you with that radiator problem?

ITEM 2) In Street Prepared, add a new subsection 15.10.I, regarding radiators, as follows:
“15.10.I Engine cooling radiators may be replaced with alternate parts subject to the following restrictions:
    1) Radiator core dimensions (width, height, thickness) must be no smaller than the standard part.
    2) Radiator must mount to OE radiator mounts.
    3) Fluid capacity /_and dry weight_/ of radiator must be no less than that of the standard part.
Alternate radiators may serve no other purpose (e.g. to allow a cold air intake passage).”

So, you can replace the radiator with a same sized or larger radiator made of the same or heavier material ... that sounds like a Stock class rule to me ...

Sorry, thread was not for me anyway =)

doesn't have to be a heavier material, just has to weigh the same or more. I know for a lot of cars, it's cheaper and easier to find aftermarket bolt-on radiators than stock. The intention is to keep it from becoming a performance (hence money) thing. I know my miata, and a bunch of miatae I've seen, came with an aftermarket, metal end-cap radiator that's actually significantly heavier than stock, but was significantly cheaper also. I know a lot of people running older SP cars (FSP / ESP) were having trouble finding them. An atlanta region guy ran CP all year in his camaro because of his aftermarket, but larger and heavier than stock radiator in his ESP car purchased when his stocker gave up the ghost and he couldn't find a decent replacement.

Yeah ... stock replacement parts should always be considered.

Looks like youre hosed Pal....I dont think I agree with a SRT4 being a GS car either .The fix is in untill they move that friggin MiniS turbo car up to DS.That car is clearly underclassedFOr that matter the mini cooper in general is underclassed as a HS/GS car as ev idenced by Sean Yoder running 55-56 seconds in the last event when the average was 57-58

looks like SM got a few breaks in some areas though.
