Well after all the chips landed ...the members of ALSCCA were the victors in this friendly competition .I dont remember the exact totals but I seem to remember the total being ALSCCA 200+ points/TVRSCCA 130 ish.You guys rock .That is an awesome performance .

I will also say that I was the slacker of the group in the sense that i overslept this morning by an hour and a half ...did that cause a problem with the event????I didnt like myself for it but everybody showed up and did their thing and it was the usual well oiled setup that it usually is !!!!!Thanks everyone ...I am sorry !!!!

I will tell you how much our members rock ...just a for instance.This morning while I was looking at the back side of my eyelids..the registration chief says "oh crap the batteries in the trailer are junk ".One of our faithful member stepped up and said "no problem ,I will just go get 3 more deep cycle batteries"(to the tune of 80 or so bucks a piece).This was initially out of his own pocket without batting an eye .That is fantastic .

Thanks to all of the ALSCCA folks who come out and solo and do their best !!

awesome events, great turn out, If only I didnt over slept on Saturday and have made it to Huntsville. but anyway how can I get intouch with them regarding my and sara name tag for the throphy we got a few months ago??

Best 2 days I've spent in a while (other than a week at Orange Beach, of course). It was great fun as always seeing everyone but much better as we saw many from each club twice in a row. I vote for making this an annual event. If it was too much strain doing Sat/Sun in same weekend, we could still have the contest with the two days spaced a week or more apart. But it was great as is. Three run groups is the only way to fly, even if there is only one worker at each station! Hsv had the weather down pat. I dunno how you guys did that but it was great. Apollo had the weather and the smooth asphalt, but Vulcan had the course length and the most points! GO ALSCCA! THANKS to everyone making this happen-

I encourage everyone that enjoys autocross and good competetion to travel a little to different areas to taste the fine autocross cuisine of different clubs. There, you will enjoy different drivers, different course setups, different surfaces, etc, and it will allow you to grow in your knowledge of the sport. I have been traveling to other areas for many years, and have picked up great ideas for course and car setup. I have met many new friends (I was a Huntsvillian for 5 years, and have many good friends there) and enjoy the road trips to see many old friends. I really can't tell if I travel more for the competetion or the fellowship. With both, you can have a bad race day and still have great fun with the fellowship. We have great clubs a short drive away in Huntsville, Atlanta, and Mississippi, and many of their members enjoy coming to our events, which supports our growth. I encourage you to go to their events and support their growth while enjoying their event. The Milton Frank site in Huntsville is one of the finest sites around (and is very easy on tires). The Birmingham site is large, but the surface is very hard on tires. Atlanta has several sites with extremely large turnouts that will give you the big event competetion. And Columbus has concrete that takes grip to an entirely higher level.
This combined event was a ton of fun, but you don't have to wait till next year to get more competetion like this. Visit other clubs and support them. It will help the sport continue to survive and bring big smiles to your face!

Thank you everyone for the great event. It was great to see everyone have fun and have a great time. Very please to see so many attending the event. Great course set up from Clay and the gang. Thank you every one for chipping in to help and clean. At the end of the day instead of my car over heat, I was the one that needs to cool off.

I really like traveling. I enjoy the road trip and the time it provides to sit still and watch the countryside go by. I enjoy meeting new people out of region and the variety of course features. It really all started because I just like auto-xing but now I enjoy the whole experience of getting up early and seeing the country.

I had a blast this last Sunday. The course was fun and challenging in parts. I never got that right hander at the top of the hill before the slalom. I always ended pushing there no matter how slow I went. That's what I'm talking about. The variety that provides a learning experience.
