I hated to miss the event this past weekend. (you know I don't want to get my Subie dirty)
Me, nor Charles, was there!! That's highly unusual. I can only recall missing 2-3 RX events within the TVR, AL Reg, TN Reg and Chatt Reg (when they were active) over the last 3 years.
But I did finish working on the Baja on Sunday. (success!!!!!!...will be in the classifieds soon)
The dirt track guys use MUD-X.....it's a silicone-based concentrate that you mix with water.
Haven't actually ran a real test on it yet, cause it should be applied to a CLEAN surface(!).
As an old (east of the mississippi) dirt bike guy we used armor-all on all plastic and wd40 on any metal parts......messy in the dust, but would keep from loading any mud.
I'm guessing any of the tire dressing, armor-all, PAM type products would work.....to a degree. The AutoZone tire dressing would probably work well and is fairly inexpensive.
BTW, just for clarification, the TN Reg events in APR are two, single-day events.....so you could run just one day.Tim

Well folks Its come and gone.....
It's been a great year for ALSCCA Rallycross. It feels like it was just yesterday that I took on the duties of RX chair... Boy, has it been so much fun! I hope I've made a lasting impression my first year. We still have so much to do so everyone nationally can see how ALSCCA is involved in this great new sport. I've said it before that ALSCCA has great people & fierce competitive drivers in rallycross as much as autocross, TT & road racing. I've also been a person trying to be a solution rather than a problem in something I'm so passionate about. I came into this position with a goal. With the help of everyone we have accomplished this goal together. We have revived ALSCCA rallycross & hopefully in the SEDIV as well. We have had successful events, participation & sportsmanship this year. We have even helped Atlanta region to decide on starting a RX program cause all the fun we have. I say kudos to us! I want to thank everyone thats been involved with our program this year, also a huge thank you to everyone outside the program that has helped. The TVR crew & Charles Wright, TNSCCA Randy Lee & Luis Laprad, John Schellenberg, Pego Mack, Ken Cashion, Warren Elliott, Ohio Valley Region, Damon Cuccia from Louisiana that drove all the way from New Orleans twice to support & learn. Thank you so very much to all. I know next year will be even better!
Peace, Love & Dirt.
Now for the good stuff.....We have a few "Alabama Dirt Cup" champions to crown. At the beginning of the year we came up with the ADC to get the competitive juices flowing in everyone. The series was made up of 9 events with 5 events needed to participate for eligibility points to be crowned champion......
Here are the Champions for 2010 Alabama Dirt Cup.
Ron Foley (SF) ALSCCA
Sara Tongsuvone (SA) ALSCCA
Edwin Cunill (PR) ALSCCA
Caj Anderson (PA) ALSCCA
Tim Boyett (M4) TVR
I hope to see everyone @ the banquet & to congratulate all the champs!....Last edited by edtype1; 11-09-2010, 03:58 PM.

What a great season, with 9 events. Congrats to everybody involved, you're all winners (from the loser who didn't enter any of 'em this year.)
I resolve to at least co-drive a couple of these events, next year.Chuck Schultz
