http://www.scca.com/documents/Club%20Rules/2008TTR.pdf is the direct link to the TT rulebook, which includes PDX, Club Trials, Track Trials (which is what we're talking about, here) and Hillclimbs.

I found the link at this page - http://www.scca.org/contentpage.aspx?content=44

Ooh, there's another link there, just for Track Trials - http://www.scca.com/documents/Club%2...rackTrials.pdf

    Gotcha...thanks! I wasn't clear on whether the school required a race-prepped car.

You can download the rule book off the SCCA national site, if you can find it on there. Basically you have to upgrade your safety equipment. Such as roll-ar, harness, seat, fire suit, gloves, shoes...

It's a pretty good investment if you're new to this, but it is timed competition.

Hey guys...just what does the TT school entail? Is there somewhere I can go for more info?

    Thanks!

If funds allow, I will attend the TT school.

Either way, I will come back to this track for another PDX.

I'm going to try and make it, I'll have to see how my funding holds out. If I can't drive I'll hopefully get to work it.

So, how many PDX attendees are planning on making it back to TGPR to do the Time Trial School in 2009?

I will need a cage put in my car and a better driver's seat/steering wheel combo before then...lol.

I looked up those hubs Evan and they are very reasonably priced. The only thing is that I don't think they offer an application for any of the hubs. So I take it the LTB hub most bolt onto the MOMO steering adaptor?

    Thanks!

    You've got mail!

Just wanted to add my thanks to Evan, John, Mark, and everyone else that helped to put on the event, especially the corner workers.

I regret that I did not get a chance to personally thank each and every one of you Saturday. Please accept this blanket Thank You for the sacrifice of your time for our benefit. It is/was very much appreciated.

I had a great time. Thanks for putting the event on.

Now, let's start talking about the Annual TGPR Time Trial school for 2009. What's the latest word on that?

    Thanks

    Everyone,

I just wanted to say that this was a great first track day for me and I do appreciate the work that went into it. The weather was great and so were the people.

A big thanks to everyone who has posted pictures.

Despite not being able to finish the day out (brake issues) and not being able to attend solo 2 on Sunday (fixing brakes), I have to say that this was awesome. Makes me want to jump up to solo 1 asap. I find the track much easier to read (vs solo 2) in terms of finding the line (even if I can't stay on it).

    Thanks Everyone!

Thanks Ricky. You taught me the things I hadn't even thought about: the approach, and when to let go of the brakes. Well, at least that was what we worked on. Sorry if I scared you a little with the spin, but the 240 gave me a few bumps to the helmet making up for it. Your car makes mine look tall, but at least the focus has room for my big head! I learned a whole bunch, and noticed more speed into the braking zones, while pushing it less. On Sunday my neck and right foot were still tired!
