Registering Proceedure

We have put in place Moderate New Users. We did this to deture Spammers. I just wanted to post this so that everyone knows it happens. It may take up to 24 hrs for an Admin to see a new registrant. Then again it may happen within 15 minutes. Please understand that this measure was not to be selective in who becomes a member, but to keep junk off the site.

The other day, I reported some spam, and made the mistake of cutting and pasting some of what I was objecting to. Apparently, whoever looked at my report thought I was the spammer, and banned the account permanently.

I had to reregister with a different user name and secondary email address, and all of my previous posts had gone away. I was greatly disappointed.
