TALLADEGA GRAN PRIX RACEWAY

This event is only a few short weeks away and we have need for Flagging and Communications personnel! No experience required but it helps to have done it before.

You'll have the opportunity to enjoy the races up close and personal while working at a corner station trackside. There are 5 stations that need to be covered for both Saturday and Sunday. If you can help please register at Motorsportsreg.com

We'll need help in Timing and Scoring, Flagging and Communications, Registration as well as Pit and Grid. This is a good opportunity to gain experience for a SCCA Specialty license, an opportunity to work an event which can get you a discount on your membership, and a chance to make many of your racing friends happy.

We like to take care of our workers so we will be providing some lovely perks for volunteering. You'll get some cash, lunch and worker laps!!!

The weather should be good, a day at the track enjoying the best in SE Div Time trials racing around the track! Sign up! We need the help to cover the event plus you get something out of it as well. Gas money, food and the appreciation of the drivers and administrators of the event. We joke about it, but it's getting serious. Without volunteers offering their services to the club we will not have theses events. We aren't a for profit business putting on track days, we are a club. We are made up of members who are suppose to support one another and come together to put on events, whether it's autox, track or rallycross. We need the members of this club to step up and show some support for these events because without these events we have no club.
So signup and help us out so we can continue to provide the SEDiv SCCA with events to get drivers on track for a fun weekend.

We need volunteers for Flagging and Communications (Corner workers) You get to wave the flags and provide info for the race control about the status of the sessions. Plus you are the drivers best freind. You get to help protect them from dangerous situations and provide them with info regarding the track and the upcoming corners. This is a vital role!

Timing and Scoring. Keeping track of the times and positions of the drivers in session. The drivers love these folks since they tell them how awesome they were by way of the ever coveted Results Sheet.

Pit and Grid
You line them up for the on track sessions and guide them safely off the track after their sessions are over. Plus you check their safety equipment and hood pins for them since sometime the drivers are just stupid and forget to check them. Vital position in controlling the chaos.

Registrar
Sign them up and get everyone accounted for. This position involves checking the lists and taking payments from the drivers and getting the drivers and workers checked in, plus renting transponders and making sure everyone has sign all the necessary waivers. Vital job for the overall flow of the event. Without registration, Timing and Scoring doesn't know you're there and you get no times. We are here for the times. (TIME trials)

Tech inspection
You gotta have a license for this one. Call SCCA and tell them you want one, you'll get your novice scrutineers license added to your SCCA membership card. Boom. Start learning.
Your job is to inspect and verify the cars and safety equipment meets the current specifications and standards. Safety is a priority with SCCA and that starts with the Scrutineers in TECH.

See there's alot to be done for a track event and we need volunteers to step up and help out.
