Forum will no longer be utilized!

After facing many challenges with utilization of this forum for many years, the board voted on the evening of 1/12/2026 to stop use of the forum in favor of the modern, more effective means.

Most of our general club organization will now be coordinated via Discord and results from our events along with schedules and announcements will be hosted on our main alscca.net webpage.

What does this mean for the old forum? Well, in short we are going to stop using it. This has been reviewed several times in the past few years, and there has been a desire for some of more tenured members of the club to have the historic content preserved. In an effort to preserve this content, it was discovered that we could not simply export the content to be placed in a modern website. This forum will now become an archive only forum and will not be monitored. If you wish to preserve any of the content, this is your time to search the pages to find it. There is no promise that this content will remain available forever with the fragile nature of this forum.

3 and 5 are usually the ones left unmanned if/when we are short in previous years.

Actually, we never staff 5, because it is not safe with cars, according to the track's previous owners, and they had plenty of experience.

I'm fully aware of how we staff things when we're short handed, unfortunately. Let's not have that this time, OK, folks?

One worker per station is legal per TT rules. It's just not as fun.

Annnyway, it's good to see folks are passionate about working these events with the club but, we need more people. IF you are available and want to learn a new skill in a low stress environment sign up and help us put on one of the best Time Trial events in the SE Division. Heath Patterson is the Worker Chief and we have some stations that still need filling. It is a lot more fun to have a buddy at a corner station so you can make fun of the drivers and some of the silly things they try looking for that extra 1/10 or so. We need you! Sign up on MotorsportsReg.com. The link is in post #1 in this thread.
          Please?

              NAH - This never happens:

Go over the edge in T2 when the throttle sticks while braking?

Make a late turn too fast into T2 when you hit the throttle rather than the brake?

Slide off track in T4 after you early apex going too fast?

              Go airborne in the bumps?

Slide into a tire wall or a tree when the grass is wet and feels like ice?

Watch your tire pass and beat you down the straight and then head off into the trees?

Too fast into the kink while braking too late - tear up your undertray on the gators?

Watch the car in front of you putting real flames out the back heading toward the kink? Realize that the driver does not know it while the corner worker waves a flag and hustles for the fire bottle?

Yep, working a corner can be boring most of the time. BUT, there are those moments of "Ho Lee Schitt! Did I just see that?" Then you can experience how much the drivers rely on the corner workers.

Talked to Hans M about a Barber subject and he says he will be at TGPR to work as starter both days.

So at this point there are 7 signed up for F&C. C will be there too. So that's 8 for F&C. That should have the corners manned! C at 1, 2 at two, 2 at four, 2 at six, 1 at seven/gate, Sara in grid, Hans at start. At least for Sunday. I can't see who else is only working one day on the registration except Joseph posting here.
