  • Workers! Workers! TGPR April 2015

Due to the sale of the track and new management coming in, we are a bit late asking for your services.

    TENNESSEE VALLEY/ALABAMA REGIONS
    SEDIV TIME TRIALS
CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT, TT School & PDX
    April 11-12, 2015

    TALLADEGA GRAN PRIX RACEWAY

We have need for Flagging and Communications personnel! No experience required but it helps to have done it before.

You'll have the opportunity to enjoy the races up close and personal while working at a corner station trackside. There are 5 stations that need to be covered for both Saturday and Sunday. If you can help please register at: http://www.motorsportreg.com/events/...4#.VPnmas50xdh

We like to take care of our workers so we will be providing some lovely perks for volunteering.

Do you want to get out and enjoy the nice weather in April and provide a vital service for the club and your fellow drivers? Sign up today! We need you! As usual, thank you for your support.

Without you there are no events.

Workers can also use this event towards a discount on your membership fees with SCCA!

With a month to go, we are a bit short of enough workers to make this event happen.

Need a Worker Chief, Pit/Grid, and some F&C

Don't forget that we need you for these events to happen. We need a few corner workers to come out and protect us from ourselves. Sometimes we have issues with our cars and our abilities to control them. You can help. Sometimes we blow up engines, catch on fire and need assistance. You can help. You can learn a valuable skill set that will allow you to work at bigger and better tracks. Or you can just come out and help your friends with their Time trial event.

We take care of our help.
We'll feed you, pay you and if possible, give you some worker laps at the end of the day. We'll need 2 workers for Pit and Grid, and people for 4-5 corner stations. Help us out and enjoy a day at the track watching some pretty fast drivers set their fast times.
Please register to help support this event.

        Thanks!

Please sign up if you plan on working this event. We need to start getting a concrete number on workers so we know what positions need to be filled.

I will be there wherever needed. I will speak for C and Sara and say they will be there. They're out of the country at the moment with no interwebs/cell service.

I have Saturday commitments, but am trying to get myself and maybe an extra out for Sunday. Will confirm soon.

Oh. I forgot that SEDIV was that weekend. I retract my statement for C and Sara. I know they talked about going to that so I wouldn't write them down yet. I also forgot.

Is this still on? I know we were concerned with having enough workers to make it happen. Just curious.

Yes, it is still on, so sayeth the race chair.

That being said, it is usually between weeks 2 and 1 when a large percentage of the drivers and workers actually register.

As of today, we are still short a few workers needed to make the event run smoothly. The workers who are registered will be doing double duty and run ragged - This is not fair to them or to the drivers.

The TT event is in conflict with the SEDIV Divisional in Knoxville. Some of the AutoX folks who normally help us may be planning for the Divisional. I've not seen it this light of workers so close to an event before.

I also know that some auto-x people that aren't making the SEDIV in Knoxville are going to the Tour event in Texas. So two conflicting events.
