  • Help Wanted, Munford, AL 28-29 Sep 2013

We're all just recovering from the Labor Day festivities, and it's time to sign up to help us put on our annual fall Track Trials (TT)/Performance Driving eXperience (PDX) and school September 28-29, 2013 at Talladega Gran Prix Raceway (TGPR,) 46 Pilgrim Lane, Munford, AL, 36268.

Some of you had a chance to learn about Flagging and Communications (F&C) at Barber, last weekend, and you know how much fun it can be. For those of you who missed it, here's another opportunity to pull back the curtain and see how racing events are run.

Pre-register now at http://bit.ly/17LJztu so we can plan the weekend prior to the moment when the gate opens.

          Workers needed. Please volunteer.

A huge thanks to all the folks who volunteered some of their Labor Day Weekend to work the Barber Club Race. It is greatly appreciated. Guess what?...We need you again.

The "No Frills" TT event and PDX at Talladega Gran Prix raceway is September 28 and 29th.
and we need volunteers for Flagging and Communications to protect the drivers that will be in attendance. Don't worry though, you can drive too! There are 1 day options where you work 1 day and drive the next in the Performance Driving Experience. There will also be worker laps at the end of each days competition so you can end the weekend having fun on track with the other workers. We'll feed you lunch as well. There may be some pay included for your services. We say so much that "without volunteers to work the events, we cannot have these events" and it's true. Volunteers are the backbone of a motorsports club. Please help us out and volunteer for a position today.

I'm not Chuck, but we've almost always had someone to work only a single day. I'm sure your presence would be quite welcomed trackside, even if just for a day. Come on out!

Ted, go to the registration link in Chuck's top post in this thread. When you click "register for this event" there are a couple of screens you go through with a "continue" at the bottom. Once you get to the page where drivers sign up, go all the way to the bottom and "worker" is the final choice. Hope this helps.

Just a reminder - We have a few individuals signed up to help us by working corners, but we could use a few more to make things easier for everyone. Sign up at the usual place, motorsportreg.com - http://bit.ly/15nr3uS

The weather looks terrific - http://1.usa.gov/1gUj4W8 , and volunteers will receive the usual free lunches, worker laps each day, certificates for a free Solo/RallyX entry for each day you help, and a Saturday evening social with barbecue and adult beverages right after the last checker flag of the day.

In addition, you get to enjoy the challenge and satisfaction of improving your verbal and non-verbal communication skills while getting an up-close look at friends and future friends on track, enjoying a nice, laid-back venue and event.

I say again - good weather
                        free lunches
                        worker laps
                        free Solo/RallyX
                        barbecue and beer

Sign up, today - http://bit.ly/15nr3uS. I'll see you at the track!

Might have asked this in the wrong thread before. Is there a need for any instructors at this event? Either that or someone in the tower on the mic to make sure folks are getting to the grid when they need to be and throwing out some times to keep everyone up to date with what is going on. Would love to help out. Let me know.
