  • Barber Workers August 31 and Sept 1, 2013

    Please go here TODAY http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...07F26B7CD5B676

and start signing up - with 17 corner stations it would be nice to have a number greater than 34 for F&C.

Worker sign-up is proceeding slowly. We are not even close to the level of workers we need to put on the event.

    We need F&C workers particularly.

We need runners to carry timing sheets down to impound.

We need a couple of paddock hosts to make life easier for the drivers. We particularly need someone to show the drivers where to park and keep them from spreading out too much.

We can use anyone who wants to do something.

    Support your Region.

I don't think it has been mentioned enough that workers will be paid $50 a day and provided lunch. I know it's not a lot of money, but it is at least gas money for people who live a little farther away. It might be a good idea for this to be mentioned more throughout the day at this weekend's autocross events ... over the PA ... repeatedly.

Do the volunteer workers have to be SCCA members? What do we do about volunteers who have been to road races, are competent professionals in their fields, but have never worked F&C, T&S, or grid etc?
BTW, I signed up for F&C for both days.
          Thanks,

            Thanks,
They will be welcomed with open arms.

They have to have a weekend membership to be covered by the event insurance.
There is a nominal fee involved with that but an event chair should chime in to tell you whether that fee would be deducted from the $50 daily stipend or not.

                2 weeks to go.

We really need F&C workers. We can train you and pair you with an experienced F&C worker.

Could use some all around people for a few specific jobs (Paddock host, runners, guards, etc)

White shirts on corners, please. Drivers are easily distracted by other colors, especially red and yellow.

I signed up for Sat/Sun F&C work. Do I need to be there Friday as well?

No absolute need to be around on Friday, although, if you're going to be in the area, you might want to register Friday to save time in the morning.

                          Flag meeting is at 7:15.
