  • Workers needed for Labor Day Race!

    Fellow members listen up!

    VOLUNTEERS! VOLUNTEERS! VOLUNTEERS!

WE NEED YOU. This year more than ever before! Whether it’s your first time or if you have experience in a certain specialty, we need you. We are even paying 25 dollars per half day for your service and we are offering a Saturday night social for the workers with food and adult beverage. So come on out and support your club and have fun doing it! Even if you’ve never been to a racing event, we can put you to work and will train you in whatever specialty you have interest in. From all of us on the racing staff, we thank you in advance for your continued support of this event.

To register, you can visit the following link:

SCCA - Atlanta Region - Club Racing on Friday, August 31, 2012 - Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Barber Motorsports Park, Birmingham, AL - (to continue with registration, scroll to the bottom and click the green button) ALABAMA & ATLANTA REGION SCCA Concurrent Double Nationa/SARRC and Pro-IT Aug. 31 - Sept. 2, 2012 Sanction Nos: 12-N-18...

This was sent out on the e-mail list, but thought I would post on the forum in case we have some people who are somehow not on the list.

At last count, we have FOUR people signed up to work a corner and none of those people are from the ALSCCA Region. If you haven't taken the time to register, please go ahead and do so NOW so we can have an idea of where we are as far as staffing goes.

If you have any questions, ask them here or you can e-mail me at racechair@alscca.net.

    Thanks,

    Vincent Coker
    2012 ALSCCA Race Chairman
    Vincent C.

I signed up but I don't really count being an announcer.
      M. Cholewa

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

Thanks Matt and Katie! I really appreciate the support.

And I'm looking forward to Cholewa and Brian's announcing in the booth this year. They are supposedly working on getting the PA system tip top so that way you guys will be heard EVERYWHERE!

So who else is gonna sign up? Sara? C? What about some of our regular autocross crowd? Folks haven't seen anything until they have worked a corner at Barber...it's really the second best seat in the house!

Awesome! last year it was just too loud in the paddock to hear anything with all the racecars running.
