  • Looking into a 10 point roll cage

    Got a old Corolla I'm putting in a lexan windshield and I would love to rally cross the car / drift but I can't seem to find out anything about cage requirements I have found a cage that is nhra/ihra spec any information would be a great help

    What are you doing with the car? Cage requirements can vary slightly based on what kind of racing you're doing (road race, time trial, etc). For SCCA RallyCross, there are no specific cage requirements for any class; however any cage installed is recommended to conform to SCCA's General Competition Rules (GCR).     If you plan to drift it, most clubs that require a cage typically only require it for tandem, and lean on Formula D rules for requirements. For a car participating in multiple disciplines you probably should find the one with the most strict requirements and build to that.

      Wouldn't it be cheaper/easier to install a stock, safety glass windshield?

        It's a 1975 Corolla but when the stock motor goes it will be swapped and the HP will at least double plus this build started with alot of rust and just the windshield alone is $400+
