For time trials and probably autox next year I'm thinking about running these (Kosei K4R 15x8) wrapped in these (BFG Rivals 225). Thoughts?

These are about the lightest 15x8 wheels I've been able to find for a good price but I think they have to use those dumb spline drive lugnuts my current Kosei's use ... I hate having to use that dumb adapter.

Doesn't tire rack make a trm c1 in Miata figment? Might cure the lug nut problem and they aren't exactly heavy.

I was looking pretty seriously at those but I've been warned that they're a good bit heavier than advertised. The price on the TRs sure is right.

I would love some bronze 6ULs but they're expensive and back-ordered till forever ...

What Jerry said. Take a look at the TR Motorsports wheels. I am not sure about the NA, but on the NB the hot ticket is the TR C3M 15x9 with a 225/45. The C1 in 15x8 looks like the wrong offset (20 instead of 36-40). The C1M (M for Miata) is in 15x7 & 15x7.5

BTW I had both the 15x9 C3Ms and the 15x7.5 C1Ms for my Miata. No complaints with either of them. The 15x9 seems to run just a little wider than 15x9 6ULs based on my set and Casey's, both with 225/45 RS3s.

I agree with all above. The Koseis also are prone to cracking if you use curbs very often. Something to consider if you plan on using them on track. Also, past the hype, I feel the RS3 is still a better tire than the Rival. They seem to handle heat better and they definitely provide better feedback.

Thanks for the help guys! I'm still not sure which way I wanna go ... Currently the Rivals are a little cheaper even before a $50 rebate. I'm trying to put together a budget and every little bit helps ....
