1995 Nissan Altima SE 5 speed
250,000 miles, I am having to add 8-12 ounces of water every 200 miles or so. I can't find a leak anywhere. Does not smoke on start or after driving it. With this amount of coolant lose I would think it would have to have a blown head gasket but it has none of the classic symptoms. No water in the oil, no oil in the water, no gurgles under the dash, coolant is not being pushed in to the overflow, no overheating, nothing... I pulled the plugs and they all look the same (see picture) it does look like it's running lean. I can see the piston tops and they all look the same, usually if it's a blown gasket one or two will be steam cleaned but they all look like you would expect them to. I hate to put this car out to pasture, it still get 31mpg and has cold air in August. Maybe I'm not seeing a small leak that is evaporating as vast as it's coming out, has anyone had any luck with the florescent dye to find a leak? Any ideas?
