  • Help with 06 mitsubishi endeavor!!!

    Hello all,
I am in the middle of having the heads reworked and changing the timing
belt and water pump on an 06 Mitsubishi Endeavor( 3.8 ). I have been looking for
a repair manual with no success. Is there anyone out there that can provide a
little helpful info on one of these vehicles please. Photos or drawings showing how
    to would be even better.
I would like to know the sequence and amount to torque the head bolts,
Also how to make sure I have the heads and motor at Top dead center.
And anything special about replacing the idler or tensioner for the timing
    belt.
Any info would be helpful. My phone number is three six five-6059
or email me at johnnewcomb62-at- yahoo-dot-com

    Thanks,
    John

Wikipedia says that the 3.8l 6G75 motor was also used in the Galant and Eclipse of the same era. Info may be easier to find on those more common sedans. Torque specs/sequence and TDC stand a good chance of being the same for the same motor in a different car.

Usually the crank and cam gears will have TDC marks that align with marks on the block/head to set timing.

      Joe's post was better ...

Thanks guys, I will check on the suggested repair manuals. Hopefully one of them
will work I am sure all the info I need would be engine specific so thanks for the
        insight. Now back at it!

        Thanks,
        John
