I believe most insurance ... supposing this car is insured, you should be able to get a replacement through insurance without having to pay a deductible.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.
However, if for some reason you decide not to cut the windshield frame out, and you truly want to replace it with a new windshield, I would call Safelite. I used them when I replaced the one in my e30. They actually had the windshield in stock and came out that afternoon to my house and replaced it. They will meet you wherever and replace it for you and deal with the insurance.

Most insurances cover CHIP REPAIR 100% ... not windshield replacement. Replacement is usually under your comprehensive coverage. If the crack is "smaller than a dollar bill" it will usually be covered without a deductible.
