  • I need help!

Does anyone here have a set of scales? I need to get my car corner weighted and aligned, and I can't afford to get a set of scales right now. So it would be nice if someone somewhat local could help me out to get everything sorted out on my car. Chuck B was going to help me out, but setbacks have prevented me from getting the car ready in a timely manner and now he is commited to other activities.

    Thanks,
    Vincent.

Speedsouth for the corner weight, Ricky R. at the Suzuki Dealer for the alignment.

Well, I don't know if I can afford to pay anyone to do it-and besides I want to learn how it is done so that when I can afford my own set of scales I can do the alignments and the corner weighting myself.

Someone told me that perhaps Alan Branch could help me out with this? Anyone here know him?

Maybe Alan will speak up but I don't think he has scales. I have heard of people using the technique in the below link to weigh a car so in theory it could be used to corner weight one. YMMV

Perhaps I could try this and see if it works. Thanks for the reply. I am in the process of getting some electronic scales made, but it will take time to get everything together and tested-more than a few weeks before the TGPR event.

From driving the car, it doesn't feel all that bad. I can't go super crazy around the roads around here because the exhaust is rather loud and attracts attention. The turn in is excellent, hands down the best "turning in" car I've ever owned. And it feels pretty balanced with just a hint of oversteer. I will need to drive the car some more on some lonely twisty roads to see where I am with the setup of the car now.
