What the title says. My 93 model 1.6 miata has a slight whine and a tail shaft seal leak. Previous owner clearly let the fluid run low for quite some time. The whine is unbearable. Trans shifts great, no grinds, no issues. Other than the most annoying noise in the world. Txt me if you don't mind, I rarely post here and am usually at barber or tprix on the wknds. Thanks in advance! 256-458-6634

It leaks fluid on the exhaust causing much smoke, which comes out the shifter boot like a freaking steam steam engine. Not embarassing in the least bit when idling at a stoplight next to some redneck in a z71. Because racecar is one of my favorite sayings chuck. Still, I feel as though a new trans will be a fresh start. In a sense. Then figure out why after changing the rear main and the cas oring, there's still an oil drip. Residual I hope...

How would I go about checking with him? I'm quite interested. Whereabouts is he located? Thanks autoxr for the help.Originally posted by slowautoxr View PostCheck with Craig. He has a '95 tranny available.
Edit: searched members and found a farrout. Pm'd. Hopefully this gentleman will respond soon before the trans is sold.Last edited by MBrent; 03-21-2012, 12:16 AM.
