Looking for a used helmet size large. Open face or closed face, doesn't matter

How much you have to spend? Used helmets are at best a little on the smelly side. You might be surprised what you can pick up for under $75

You will pay more for a M2010 (a good bit more) but it will be legal longer.

I saw lots of dot approved helmets but didn't think they were legal. I'm just looking for cheap as possible.

SNELL M2000+ is good, DOT means nothing as far as the club is concerned*. The rule is a little confusing. Two generations plus the current one so you end up with M2000, M2005 and the current rating. SA helmets are ok as well just more $$$. The Mxxxx is only good for Solo (autocross) and maybe some of that other stuff that I know nothing about.

You need SA for TT and up.

Go to an offroad store (dirt bike/ATV offroad, not brotruck) and tell them you're looking for a helmet, flip through one of their unabridged dictionary sized catalogs, and order one you like for $120. SA2010 and it's good for 10 more years.

Also, keep in mind that black gets hot in the sun.
