I'm looking in the same size, and this is where I'll probably end up. Good (not awesome) tire, but hard to beat the price.

FYI, Katie and I were not impressed with the DZ101. Very poor wet traction and they wore very quickly. Dry traction wasn't anything to write home about. I would rate them several ticks below a G-Force Sport in about every category.

i ran the 195 dz101's at the points 1 ax and they are horrible. No traction in the wet or dry. They are a comfortable street tire though as i drove the car into BHam.

Unfortunately, in 205/50/15, G-Force Sports are the same price as Ecsta XSs.

Then get some performance all-seasons ... but don't get the 101 for any kind of performance driving.

              Can you get maybe a 215/50 or a 225/45 or 235/45 instead?

FWIW, the Ecsta XS in that size is cheap for a super street tire (gotta love 15s):

That is a good price, and 100% worth it for autocross. Great tires.

pay the extra per tire and get the Hankook RS3s. You wont be disappointed. It is a little bit noisier than I would like for a daily driver tire but outside of that it has been awesome on my car. They dont make a 205 50 25 but I bet a 225 45 will fit .

                    They are 103 each

For a car over 3100lb, I'd go XS. Especially for a FWD.

That may be so . I have never tried the XS tires.

I have to DD my miata, and sometime cannot avoid driving in heavy rain. Loved my discontinued General UHPs as a do it all tire. I am lining up some Nitto Neogens in 205 50 15 to replace them. From the reviews/tests I read it looked like the Kumho XS was great if the track is dry. My ASXs that the Generals replaced were only so-so in wet, but had a better feel in corners than the Generals. The Neogens had good reviews, but I didn't see much related to Autox on them. We'll see I guess. I hope to have them on the car by the Mitty.
