When I lived in Bham, myself and my friends always used Artistic Solar Films...its in hoover off of rocky ridge road. Kinda hidden, but to put in perspective its kinda at the corner of 459 and 65. They did great work though and had a good selection of brands and darknesses.

Sundowners in Pelham does good stuff!!! I will be having them do my tint shortly. Is on Old Montg Hwy about a half mile from the old 84 Lumber if you're familiar with that area. Its across from Sport Trucks
I had the rabbit done at sundowns, they did a great job and the guy stands by his work, lifetime warranty on the tint and the workmanship. I think it was 165 for the rabbit.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.
If its good enough for the rabbit, then its good enough for me. It is a long way from home, but dropped the car off @ Sundown this morning. Thanks for the help guys!
I just removed 10yo tint (turned purple) from the Celica myself. I used a clothes steamer to heat up and release the glue from the tint and GENTLY pulled the tint from the windows. Took about 3 hrs but removed it all and did not damage rear defrost wires. Now I will order a precut Celica kit for around $35 from Ebay and try to tint windows. They say the thicker 1.5mil tint is easier to install and lasts better. I hope it does!

This is one job I don't think I would take on myself. When I picked up the car this afternoon , Phillip @ Sundown said lots of folks complain about his $100 old-tint-removal-fee. I told him I was surprised he did it that cheaply
I stayed legal . I thought about putting 20% on the sloping rear glass, but stayed with the ~35%. If concerned, cars have a 32% limit for all windows. Trucks, SUVs, & vans can go darker behind the front doors.
By the way, I washed her car yesterday so got a good look at all the windows. Looks like Phillip did a great job.
I used the sun and the steamer to get it loose. Seems like 200 deg F and 200% humidity can be effective in softening the adhesive and removing about 10lbs of sweat...
