For Sale: 1988 Supercharged MR2, Black exterior, Gray interior, Black Sparco wheels with newer Hankook RS4's, new KYB shocks, new Brakes, many other updates and improvements.
Asking $15,000. See link below for pictures and link to forum covering upgrades.
I'm listing this for my buddy in Chattanooga, who is selling his 1988 Supercharged MR2. He purchased it earlier this year in Missouri. He's done a lot of work on it, replacing front suspension bushings, steering rack bushing, clutch pedal bushing, valve cover gasket, fixing things that were broken or missing, and replacing many other worn parts. (He is an applications engineer, and fixes things as they should be).
He had a MR2 as a youngster and has been looking for one similar to his old one for a long time. After not being able to find one like his original, he bought this supercharged one because it was in nice condition, but needed a little love. He has been documenting his refurbishing process on the MR2OC website. Another MR2 owner noticed this and contacted him about interest in buying his car, which is exactly what he was looking for originally, and is very similar to the one he had growing up, and is in pristine condition. He has decided to buy this second car, but needs to sell his current one first.
Here is a link to his add on the MR2 Owners Club website... FS-‘88 SC (black) Chattanooga, TN | MR2 Owners Club Forum (mr2oc.com)
He can be reached at (423)-Two-40-6-Seven-30.
Thanks,
Chris Chatta
