  • 1979 Mazda RX-7 IMSA GTU Road Racer

    $19,500

    Runs SCCA GT-2 and Vintage GTU

    Tub chassis with stiff roll cage. Only one race on fresh 13B Peripheral port rotary, Ianetti last forever 2 piece ceramic apex seals, runs on 93 pump gas, Weber 51 carb, stainless exhaust system.
    7.25” dual disc clutch, G-Force GF5R dog ring transmission with Magnesium case, carbon fiber driveshaft, race limited slip, Wilwood brakes, new front rotors, 3 sets of wheels. Fuel Safe cell rebuilt in late 2013.
    Koni yellow coil over front struts, 3 link rear suspension, freshly revalved Bilstein rear shocks. IMSA Mk-1 bodywork with Lexan windshield and back hatch. Two front air dam/ undertrays.

    Enclosed trailer is also available.

    This car has won a lot of road races, including the 2017 Mitty GTU class, it is completely ready to race and win again.

    Consistently the fastest car with doors at Talladega, ran 1:02 when I was a little younger, ran 1:03 in 2016.

    Worked a lot of races at TGPR seeing this car. Not sure i've ever met you but man do I LOVE seeing this car run and getting a little warmth on the cold mornings from the glorious fireballs she spits out. Awesome car!
