The Good: I'm looking for another toy, so I'm getting rid of my 1965 Mustang. It is running a 351 Windsor with a Holley Double Pumper 4 barrel carb, MSD coil, new distributor, Edelbrock performer intake, street cam, headers, B&M ratchet shifter, brand new a High-Torque race starter, new battery, chrome valve covers, Crager Supertrick wheels with new tires on the rear, 70% tires on the front, traction bars. With a little carb tuning to match the cam, this motor will be a screamer. It drives and shifts out great (attached is a video of the car running). The interior is in decent shape with all the carpet installed, albeit a bit faded, and clean. The back seats are darn near perfect. The headliner is good and the dash pad is brand new (not in pics, because I'm installing it this week). I hate the steering wheel (too small), but it turns the car and is in great shape. This car has solid floorpans and trunk, and is driven consistently in current condition. All the chrome and trim is there, but some needs to be cleaned up. The Not So Bad: The car was Caspian Blue originally (beautiful color to go back to), and looks like it's only had one painting. Unfortunately, the prep was pretty bad on the job, and the clear is coming off on the quarter panels and the paint is flaking in others, causing some surface rust. I've counted four spots where this has occurred and there are all in plain sight and can be corrected if the car is painted again. All the spots are cosmetic. If you keep it the same color, you'll be fine, as all of the jambs and interior are matched and look good. The car will really need an exterior paint job to be any more than a toy. If it doesn't sell quickly, the spots are something I may correct with some grinding, sanding, blending and sealing for the next guy (or gal). I am not a automotive refinisher, so I'll do the car justice by not attempting to repaint it. The heater core is bypassed, due to a leak. This is a cheap fix and something that I will probably fix soon, as it will be getting cold and I like to drive the car. Front seats are trashed, but are covered. It needs shocks, but I will not be replacing those. For me, it would mean getting rid of the traction bars, add new leafs, drop spindles and coils, sell the wheels and tires and buy 17" wheels to go all around. That's me, I'll let you decide how you want to do that. I'm negotiable on the price right now, but depending how deep I get on corrections, the number will become firm. Also, I'm open to trades. Particularly, vintage Japanese RWDs and other Pony/Muscle cars of equal or more value. Show me what you have or make me an offer. $8000.
