Due to some damage to the rear metal bumper (that wasn't on the carfax) of my Z I'm a little afraid to install the trailer hitch and trust it to make trips without cracking some of the sheet metal. So I've decided to do the street car thing and just change tires at my house and drive to events
at least until I can get a truck and a trailer
Having said that I'm going to sell my Harbor Freight tire trailer. Here are the details:
Asking $350 obo
I've also got a universal style wiring harness that I bought to put on the Z that could be negotiated in if needed. It's a CURT 59146 Converter and Wiring Kit. It uses power from the battery to power the trailer and just uses the OEM wires to receive the signals.
This was a great trailer for me. I pulled it with my old E30 and also with my E36 M3. I bought it from another auto-crosser who pulled it with his Miata. It should work for any car that can add a hitch.
I've attached the only pic I have on my computer right now. I can get pics of just the trailer if anyone is interested.

Having said that I'm going to sell my Harbor Freight tire trailer. Here are the details:
- Harbor Freight Trailer 40.5" x 48"
- 12" wheels, 4 lug
- Stainless steel bearing buddies added to hubs (makes greasing them much easier and I felt more confident on long trips)
- 4 wire trailer plug, all lights work
- Pressure treated plywood top, painted black
- Contico Xtreme Tuff lockable storage bin bolted down (never had any water get in this, everything stays dry)
- currently setup for 4 tires, I could fit four 17x9 255/40's with no problem. It could be adjusted to fit different diameter wheels/tires as there's a custom platform to get the wheels/tires over the fenders
- Eye bolts that go through the frame for strap connection points (and also for cable connection if you want to lock the wheels to the trailer)
- I'll include a set of ratchet straps and the cable I would use to lock them down
- I also have a spare wheel bearing I would take with me just in case, it will be included
- Always garaged when not traveling to/from or at an event
