We've decided that we're tired of our silver 5-speed 2001 VW Beetle TDI. It might make a fun track or RallyCross car, or, with some work, an economical daily driver.
$1900 will take it.
Good - It has used no oil in the 9000 miles we've driven it. (The previous owner claims he used Amsoil for the duration of his time with the car.) The power windows, sunroof, and heated leather seats all work. I'm currently daily driving it, because I'm too lazy to take the R-comps off the Miata. It's quiet and comfortable, with quite a bit of room for groceries, etc.
Otherwise - After 240,000 miles on the clock, the A/C needs at least a compressor, and the heat doesn't heat exceptionally well. In fact, the blower blows through all the vents, no matter where you set the control. It defrosts slowly, as a result, and it's chilly in the winter time.
All of the bodywork is present, with some moderate dings and scratches. There's no rust that I've noticed. The driver's seat is very worn in the area of the side airbag. At least half of the tires are still legal. I have no clue when the timing belt was last changed (if at all.)
