  • For Sale 2002 Mazda Protege5

I purchased a new daily driver, so the old one needs to go to make room. It's a decent every day car, would be great for a new driver, or is old enough it could be a helluva rallycross project if that's more your speed.

It is a 2002 Mazda Protege5, 5spd manual, ~206k miles, silver in color, some dents and dings. Everything works, and it runs and drives great. Suspension is tight, tires are very good, brakes are great, and it even got a new timing belt at the start of this year.

There's plenty of dents and dings from it being older and high mileage, but the paint is in good shape, and the interior is free of stains or odors. There's wear on the steering wheel (mostly from previous owner) and wear on the driver's door panel where you naturally rest your arm. The driver's floor mat where your heel rests under the accelerator is "broken in" from all the driving I've done in this car.

Cosmetically blemished, mechanically solid. Very motivated, ready to make a sweet deal.

Honest KBB value is currently listed at a touch over $3,000. My asking price for SCCA members is $2,750, but don't let that stop you from opening conversation about it. I'll entertain any offers.

It's get dark so early...haven't had a chance to take any photos yet. But no interest at all? Not a single bite? I gotta make room, and fast!

After careful (and I do mean careful [Devil's Cut is so tasty]) consideration of Darryl's offer, I must decline. Any bites at $2600?
