I have a damaged APR Carbon Fiber Airdam for a C6 Z06 or base model. It replaces the factory valence. This was damaged in shipping. There is a slight crack in the lower surface and it travels up the front face. I would like it to go away as its taking up a lot of space in my shop. I don't want to fix it and for that reason the price is very low compared to what it normally retails for.
This part is approved for SCCA STO, T1, etc. This is extremely light as it is hollow. I have looked at the crack closely and it doesn't go through the composite, but it is visibly cracked on the bottom and front face. It could be fixed and easily reinforced with some expanding foam from the backside and you could also bond in a fiberglass patch to strength the area. Once mounted on the car it should have more than sufficient strength.
The price is $500 and shipping is not a good option. I don't trust the shipping company to not damage it further. Sandbox Express would be better or I can arrange for personal delivery within a reasonable distance.
