Im interested in selling my 2003 Evo VIII in apex silver. It has a clean title and never been wrecked. I am the second owner. I bought it in 2006 from Drivers Way in Pelham. It was completely stock with 23k miles. Currently the mileage is 134xxx. Most of these miles are highway riding back and forth from Birmingham to the Oxford area a few years ago. This is my daily driver. Now I put about 500 miles a month on it driving back and forth to work and thats pretty much it. It is garage kept. It has never been smoked in. I have never taken it to the drag strip. Its been auto-crossed about 15 times I would guess. I won the 2010 BSP championship in this car. I have the title in hand.
Pictures will be added shortly.
So mods are as follows:
I know im biased, but I feel safe in saying this is one of the nicest evos you will find. Its been taken care of and not been beaten on. All minor mods were installed by me. Clutch, flywheel, stainless brake lines installed by C. Timing belt work done by Mitsubishi dealership when there was still one in Anniston. The car has broken down on me one time in 7 years. I drove through a big puddle in a rain storm and blew a fuse under the hood. $75 later it was back on the road. This has been by far the most reliable car I have ever owned. The car is super clean, but its got normal wear and tear from daily driving for the past 10 years. The car runs and drives perfect. Its good to go as is, or its a great starter platform for something awesome. Besides extra wheels, I also have the stock suspension and some extra coils, and a few odds and ends parts laying around. A nearly full jug of diaqueen gear oil for the transfer case and rear diff. All that comes with it.
The bad:
Drivers seat has a rip in the left side seat bolster about the size of a quarter. Seems like this is a pretty normal wear spot on these seats in these cars. The passenger side rear bumper corner has some paint rubbed off where i bumped my wifes car in the driveway. The cigarette lighter recently quit working. The fuse was blown. I changed the fuse. It still doesnt work. Thats the end of my car wiring expertise. The drivers door has some wear on the inside panel. Im a cop and my gun belt rubs the plastic.
Asking price $14000.00 OBO

So mods are as follows:
- Brand new Falken Ziex tires. Installed a couple weeks ago.
- AEM intake
- Hallman manual boost controller
- Tuned to 24 psi by Matt Williams
- Injen Lower Inter cooler pipe
- Greddy Evo 2 turbo back exhaust
- Test pipe
- Wahlbro fuel pump
- HKS Hipermax Coilovers, these were bought used but turned out to be blown and I had them rebuilt by HKS USA. That was probably at around 90k miles on the car. They are in great shape.
- Autometer boost guage, Only modification to the car when I bought it.
- ACT stage 1 clutch, resurfaced flywheel. Stock clutch made it to 107k miles for me. Clutch install was done by C at this time, rear main seal was also changed.
- Tune was done by Matt Williams probably 2 years ago. He upped the boost and tied all my mods in for me. Took away the constant PO300 code check engine light that was a constant problem for all of these evos. Never been dynoed, but Matt's computer says its approximately 310ish HP and TQ to the wheels.
- Mishimoto radiator, installed last year. Stock radiator got a pin hole leak.
- Stainless steel brake lines, I THINK they are goodridge brand.
- Hawk brake pads
- New rotors at 100k miles. They are in great shape. No warping.
- Comes with an extra set of Stock wheels, painted orange with pretty used up Falken RT 615
- Carbon fiber ducts on the front bumper, and carbon fiber pieces on side skirts in front of rear wheels.
- Evo 9 metal Blow off valve
