  • 1999 M3, track-prepped

    --Car has been sold!--

    As a service to my fellow car-nuts I thought I'd share a "pre-Craiglist" find:

The car is not mine, but I just drove it and it's literally track ready. He's wanting $6K which is about the price of the installed mods and a smoking deal.

The interior is in very good shape and the exterior is ok in general except for a crunched left fender. I'd estimate a cheap fix (used fender + painting) at ~$450, less if you know someone who can prep/spray a fender. A proper fix (Watkins quality) was ~$1600. Or drive it like it is.

This car can easily be a dual use (trackday/daily driver) car, although the urethane suspension bits and spring rates make it a fairly stiff ride for the road. A/C works, nice stereo and very clean interior. Vader seats for those interested. No smoke or other smells.

He's listing it on Craigslist in the next day or two, anyone interested before then can PM me and I'll put you in touch with him. I'll accept the underpanel tray as a finder's fee!

Dang, wish this had been available when I bought my 99 E36 M3. I paid more for less mods (but also less miles and not dented).

Edit: He's not interested in trading for an E30 track car is he?

              Needs black kidney grills now.

Nice ride. Wonder if it's faster than a non-M?

Enjoy it Rod, look forward to seeing you TT in it.

Thanks guys! I have always said an M3 was what I wanted to move into from the Miata. Just couldn't pass this one up with all the work Robbie had put into it. My buddy Mark Stewart at Kirk Racing conveniently already has a four point e36 M3 bar ready to go. Just need a different mount for my race seat.
