For those of you who don't know, this is a steal and a half, 275 for FIA cert seats in this condition is crazy cheap.

How do these mount? Can they be mounted directly to the floor of a car?

No, they require side-mount brackets (included) and a base plate specific to each car. I sold the base plates to Edwin, but they are not expensive and something can be arranged if needed. They are for a Subaru, so if that is what you were putting them in, they would fit.

If you're handy with metal-working, you can make them mount to the floor!

Then they're no longer FIA approved. The seats and mounts are approved as one unit.

And there is a large question about the WIDTH. I know, you'll get me back in spades.

I wear a size 38, and I could actually fit into these seats without feeling entirely squished. They were snug, but not terrible.

If I cared about my volvo and weren't buying a house, I would buy at least one of these.

Does the FIA cert ever expire or is that just on harnesses?

Yes the cert does expire on the seats and brackets just like harnesses.

Not if you mount the brackets to the floor ... the side mount brackets are usually only about 1.5" or so from the bottom of the seat, right? So you can get really close to the floor.

                              Seats and belt

I would like to buy 1 seat and one belt. I would offer 400.00 for the two.
