Why is it most people think Azenis suck, unless they are $59 per tire?

Did they have sane sizes on sale at first and run out? From what's left there, wheels less than 10" width need not apply.

They aren't a bad tire if you want something that is good all around...

I for one was never into the tire due to the mixed reviews for one (1)....the fact that tire rack seems to be adament that they don't and will never carry the azenis is for (2)O....for (3) , I owned the 215 tire and it cupped so badly within 5k miles of street driving that it sounded like I was running superswampers ..that is pretty bad .

Finally for the 4th reason (4) I wouldnt do an azenis tire again is because it was 2 seconds slower than a kumho 710 and the present 140+ tires are within .5 seconds if not faster than a v710 or hoosier A6/R6 given the right driver....(John Waight this season on several occasions on his after 3 and done runs).

In all fairness though, the only reason the street tires were faster was because the pavement at BRC is not exactly r-comp friendly. I doubt he would be faster than himself on rcomps on good pavement.

I also had a set of 205/15 Azenis and ran them...Mark bought our first set of Kumho XS in a 205/15 and they were easily seconds faster, easier to drive with, and wear much better. I understand that Falken has a newer version of the Azenis now that the ST tire has really taken off. I have not driven on the new compound, nor seen any reviews. But if you are buying the old compound, I would double think that idea.
