I started on a 300 baud modem on bbs's. The 600 baud modem came out & I was impressed because would down load almost as fast as I could read. Now when the 1200 baud modems hit I was in heaven. My 1st computer was a sol1000 that I soldered the ic's to the board my self & was extremely compact, it was smaller than a suite case. I once got a great deal on 8mb of ram for $120. I recently paid that for a video card w/ 2gb of ram just for it.
