My car is a 1993 Base Model with ~88K miles on the chassis. Silver with black cloth seats/interior. Engine is a Mazda remanufactured with ~ 6K on it. Transmission is a new stock unit with ~ 8K on it. The twin turbos are 1999 J-Spec models with the Efini Y-Pipe. All of the suspension bushings have been replaced. Car has never been wrecked.
Car is extremely streetable and also set up for track use. All the basic reliability modifications were done (downpipe, Fluidyne radiator, second temp gauge, manual fan switch, Silicone vacuum hoses, Petit AST). Engine is moderate power increase (~325HP running on stock boost (10 psi)). Suspension is excellent for track & daily driving. Set-up is neutral handling. The Apexi was tuned for the specific mods on the car.
Why am I considering selling it? I love the car but do not have the time to drive it. A 10 minute commute is not good for this car. I race an AMAC D Sports Racer and Euroswift FF in SCCA club racing. I got into racing by using the RX7 for the HPDE events over a 5 year period but graduated to a dedicated race car. I also have a Miata modified for track use and SCCA Time Trials which is my daily driver. I hate to see the RX7 sitting in the garage.
