Well, as painful of a decision as it has been, I have decided to sell my RX7. Rough times financially have cited this move, and I'm not all that happy about it-but here goes:
1987 Mazda RX-7 Base built to ITS specs (STS/CSP Autocross as well) (rust free)
Suspension:
Full ISC Racing suspension (400 lb springs in front, 250 lb springs in rear)
-includes fully adjustable speedway engineering front bar
-Bilstein non adjustable shocks(custom selected for RX7 by ISC)
-hard upper rear shock mounts
-custom caster/camber plates
-single adjustable rear camber adjuster by AWR
-ride height set to ITS specs
-BBS convertible wheels (15 x 6.5") with Falken Azenis 205's (worn out)
-Flatout Motorsport wheel studs with 1 1/2" spacers in rear, 1" spacers in front
-factory power steering just installed a few months ago
-manual rack comes with car(in good condition)
-full 5 lug swap with S5 rotors and dual piston calipers in front
-new rear wheel bearings installed last year
-ISC custom made SS brake lines
-Factory brake pads on car (comes with a set of Hawk blues)
-new brake master cylinder
Engine:
-Factory S4 engine rebuilt by Rotary Performance of Texas (unsure of mileage, but pulls strong)
-Full S5 upper and lower intake swap with 5th and 6th port sleeves by Pineapple Racing(not ITS legal but easily removable)
-All emissions removed
-A/C removed
Drivetrain:
-Factory 5 speed transmission shifts well (needs new shifter bushings though-cheap fix)
-all new factory style exedy clutch installed one year ago with new slave cylinder
-Factory S5 clutch pack LSD installed with 4:10 gears
Cooling:
-ISC racing dual pass aluminum radiator (massive)
-3,000 cfm 16" electric fan
-ISC Racing oil cooler with -10 AN Lines (oil temps never get over 190)
-under body plastics custom cut to accommodate larger radiator and are still on car
Fuel system:
-Walbro 255 lph fuel pump installed
-Aeromotive Rising Rate FPR set to 38 psi at idle
-all fuel hose replaced with new factory filter
Exhaust:
-Racing Beat Stainless Steel header(hand wrapped with fiberglass wrap by myself)
-FULL ISC Racing 3" exhaust(includes mid pipe and rear section with Dynamax muffler) **NOTE** This exhaust is no longer made by ISC and is considered by many to be the best flowing exhaust for road racing.
Interior:
-Full Autometer mechanical gauges in car-oil pressure, temp, and oil temp along with fuel pressure. The gauge panel that I made to go into the factory radio hole has broken and a new one will need to be made. I have an S5 radio cluster that is in much better shape and that can be used to fix the problem.
-Car still has full factory blue interior.
Exterior:
-S5 front end conversion recently done with good front end parts (aluminum hood, front bumper and fenders).
-Car needs a paint job, but it's not necessary (no rust)
As many of you know this car has had one full season of AutoX on it since the mods were completed to car. It also has one track day at TGPR. Car performs very well and I'm sure there are some stuff that I am leaving out, but if your wanting to get into AutoX or road racing for CHEAP in a properly prepared car, this is the one you have been waiting for.
To go road racing, all you need to do is strip the interior, cage it, put in a good seat, install 5.12 gears with the .86 5th gear in the tranny, and throw on some Hoosiers and you will have a very competitive car for less than half the money if you were building it new.
For AutoX, just pick out what tires you wanna go with and race it as it sits. I ran it in STS this year and it is competitive there with street tires. (won Novice championship in region)
I have countless hours and lots of time and energy into this car and I do not want to sell it. I have about $9,000 invested in everything and that is probably a low number. I purchased most all the parts from ISC because they are the leaders in the southeast in Road Racing and they can back it up with several championships posted by drivers who use their products.
First 4,500 obo takes it...
Pics to follow...
I also have a complete spare S5 motor that will go with the car(70k mile dealer installed motor in excellent condition), plus a few spares in case anyone wants them.
