I did not have any way to mount the camera and the video is very shaky but I was really impressed with the $69.00 HD video camera from wally-world. The sound was better than most all of the hero cams I have heard. The camera came with 4 rechargeable batteries, charger and a 2gig SD card. Well worth the money.

I've gone the cheap HD route as well. Today was the first time I got to play with my Aiptek 1080p camera in the car. Got it for about $120 off ebay and it's mounted to my rollbar using a borrowed IO Port mount (a great mount, but costs almost what the camera did). Unfortunately I do not think I'll be able to get it work at Barber next weekend with the hardtop on 'cause the camera + mount is just a bit too tall.
I'm really pleased with the HD video. Below is a link to one I downsized a bit for youtube...the original is much better. It was my youngest son's first time to ride along and I have no idea what we were talking about when the clip starts. I need to put something over the mic to cut down on the wind noise. It's more sensitive than I would have thought...I'm surprised it picks my voice out so well with the full face helmet. I also need to remember to move the mirror up so it will be out of the way.

The Camera I was using is a 720p form Walmart, DXG is the brand and they are on sale at the Springville store. It comes with a 2gig card and 4 rechargeable batteries with charger.

Watching that video makes me want to invest in a mount! Who do I think I'm kidding, I'll end up making something myself...
