Can you even find film anymore?!? I honestly died a little inside when Nikon announced that they wouldn't make any more film cameras.

I know! My dad has an older camera that still uses film, its fun to get that thing out sometimes and play with it... you have to, like, actually focus it manually... and use the f-stop to get the light meter where it's supposed to be... and advance the film manually... and then have it developed!! haha

Haha, thanks Jamie. I haven't forgotten a/b you, btw. I tried to catch up with you at the T&T but I missed you.

TB, funny you ask, I actually got the film off of eBay! A bunch of old B&W rolls (Kodak TMAX 100 and 400). But believe it or not you can still find consumer grade 35mm film in many Walmarts and drug stores. If you want anything else, though, you've got to go to a camera store or go online. My 35mm is a Nikon FT2 given to my by my grandfather. It's just like Jordan said - fully manual. And it's a beast. You could use it as a hammer!

But my two favorite film cameras actually use 120 roll film (medium format). It's hard to find a variety of that even at a camera store. So I get it from one of the online giants (B&H Photo or Adorama). The two cameras that use it are a 1956 Ricohflex New Diachord twin lens reflex, and a 1933 Zeiss Ikon Nettar S 515/2 folder. Cool cameras and fun to shoot, but not really for Autocross.

        This is the Zeiss

I've used medium format and really like it for landscapes and portraits. I love long exposures on medium format as the reciprocity is so much better than 35mm or digital. Large format is just too freaking expensive ...

My wife has a degree in photography and I used to assist her a lot. She wants a Rollei medium format as that's what she used to use and loved it.
