  • Work during the 2nd off season

So since we had points #1 and then a second off season I decided to do some work on my car. Some might have seen these on facebook but since the boards been dead I figured I'd post it up here. I'd been waiting about 8 weeks on Vorshlag to send me camber plates and they finally arrived before last weekend. Over the weekend I installed them and the coil over conversion I got from BimmerWorld. The conversion consists of hyperco springs, GC front conversion sleeves, and GC articulating rear weight jacking spring perches.

I was hoping to get some practice on them this weekend in Dothan but they've cancelled their event. So I'll get to try them out at the points #2 event!

    Here's some pics:

Looks fast! Did you replace the nuts and bolts with new hardware, or just use locktite?

I was already placing an order from Pelican so I replaced the two lower strut bolts with new ones. The new ones had some red thread lock already applied when they arrived.

The top bolt I reused and actually put a little anti-seize on the shaft of it as they had started to surface rust and stick to the strut. It took a little beating with a hammer to get them out.

I also anti-seized the sway bar links when they were replaced a few months ago and they were still tight but came apart much easier than the old ones.
