  • Gopro Mounting ???

Y'all reckon the Gopro suction cup mount will hold on my bumper during a RX?

  • #2
It held on a certain BMW that rolled at a rally-x, so I'd guess "yes." Just make sure you clean the cup and the suction location and you're golden.

They say these things are good up to 200mph. Unfortunately, I have been unable to confirm this for myself...

Just dont let the windshield wipers get to it. It'll fly right off your car.

Well with my fancy 90 Honda Civic I don't think I have worry about wipers on my bumper. Now if I had an Inifinity or Lexus

Sam, I know you don't know me. I'm just busting your chops a little. If I offended you (which I'm often at risk of doing) I'm sorry.

Your bumper cam video is what got me to thinking it would be cool to try in RX. I can't remember ever seeing a bumper cam RX video.

                Don't worry, I wasn't offended.

Also i used the sticky mounts for the gopro on the front bumper. I think they are stronger than the suction cup, however they also seem to be rather permanent so keep that in mind.

If it helps, there is a bit of vehicle-mounted video in the vid I did for the Dixie challenge last year. I didn't use a Go-Pro, but a Flip on a Woods Power Grip 5" suction mount.

Sticky mounts I have.... not too concerned about permanent, it'll probably help my car's appearance.

                    Thanks Matt, pretty cool.
