  • Calling all LFS drivers...

Matt and I have set up a little website at www.virtualautocross.com and we are taking this thing to the next level. We have secured a partnership with Race2Play.com and will be using their servers for weekly and monthly Virtual Autocross competitions. I would love to see some of the folks that I've had the pleasure of getting my !@# handed to me by pop in and have a go.

We had our first test last Wednesday evening and we will be having another on Wednesday the 22nd at 7 pm central. Rule sets are being put into place. Car classes are being established. We are even coming up with various ways to steward the events so they flow just like the real thing (without having to worry about cars getting to the line and the timing equipment randomly deciding it doesn't like the weather).

Have a look around the virtualautocross.com site. There is a video from last wednesdays test on there to give you an idea of what we are up to. Pop in the forums and let us know if there is anything we can tweak to make this something you wuold like to have a go at.

Hope to see a few of you next week. Server details and TeamSpeak address are on the virtualautocross.com front page.

Because they heard I liked my name, so they put my name as my name so I could have my name in my name... all the time.

We do prefer Vent, but R2P used Teamspeak. If this takes off, I don't see why we couldn't have our own Vent server.

I have a vent server for GMT. I could setup an room specific to virtualautocross, but I would rather have a seperate home for this stuff to be honest. Race2Play has a paid for TS server so I'm going to use their stuff for now.

Jedi, you have inspired me to re-install the wheel on my PC. As soon as I recover from this weekend (NDCCC and SOLO), I will get that set up again. It has been a long time since I've been able to get the XR GT out of the garage. Virtually.
