A sad day for Sara......

Today is a sad day for me. I’m going to have to say good bye to my baby! I had an accident last Thursday and my insurance has of course decided to total it out. I’ve fought with myself all weekend whether or not I should get her back and rebuild, make it a project car or just let it go. I’ve decided to let it go….. The frame has a lot of damage and of course there is no telling what else will need to be replaced after we get that fixed so I’ve decided to not put us in that huge financial hole and just let go. Its hard because I’ve had the car for almost 5 ½ years now. I put 128,000 miles on her. I was able to autox all over the southeast and take lots of road trips. I was really hoping to have this car forever but I guess all things must come to an end. My heart is broken but I know there is another Evo that needs a good home where it will be raced and driven like it was built to be driven! lol I can honestly say I got my monies worth out of this car. I don’t think there was ever a day I didn’t drive it if I was home.

So on to the next chapter I suppose. C and I are looking for a new Evo as I type. I’m not in a huge hurry to get one just yet. I would like to take my time and find a good one. I’ve purchased a fabulous daily drive already. It’s a 1991 Aura Integra for cheap. Ok just thought I would share with you guys so the next time you see me don’t be looking for the short bus.

Cars can be replaced but people can't.

There are 2 big questions to be answered: Are you ok? Will it be yellow?

yes i'm fine. got beat up by the air bag pretty good and hit my knee on the dash but that's all.

ummmm not sure. i love yellow but with the Evo options are limited and im thinking since this will be number 2 maybe i should try a different color....... so i guess i'll just have to see what i can find.

LOL no i'm sorry but i can't get GG there are WAY to many of those already!!!!! hehehe from the begining i tried to get a blue by you one but it's still hard to find those.

oh and no worries about missing me in SM. my loving and darling fiance is going to allow me to run his Evo so i will still be reping the Evos in SM! yay

The Blue is awesome! It would be the one I would track down if I were in the market for an Evo.

i was able to get some of my mods off but didn't have time to get everything. i dont really want to post pictures right now, makes me too sad to see her like that.

as for what happened, i made a mistake while driving as Greg would say. i went to make a left turn and there was a lady there. never saw her, just one of those out of body feelings like where did she come from. she was ok and so was i which is the most important thing. i just hate i lost my car by making such a stupid mistake. but you live and learn i guess.

Everyone makes mistakes. At least you know what happened and can learn from it.

A "friend" in college ran a red light and t-boned a guy ... his explanation of the story was that he had a green and the other guy ran the light and hit him, but he spun some how and ended up in the side of the guy's car. This was his 3rd wreck in a year and a half or so ... he didn't learn anything.
