Howdy all,

I went to CMP over the weekend to crew for a car entered by my friends from NASA-SE, "Pink Panther II." It was a scream! Even though the car was dead by the end of the second hour. Photos and a few video clips here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/kathycha/


So it looked like we were moving to Birmingham all of a sudden-like! But Mr. Buyer got a little wacky with the terms so we walked on the deal this morning. We definitely are moving to Bham but not in the next 30 days. THANK GOD.

Aimee was driving the ugly t-bird with the flag on the back of it. She was driving when it got punted off the front straight while trying to make it to the grass as well. She's sore, but fine.

I missed her punt! Glad she's OK, but how did the car fare?? By the 2nd day the field was cut nearly in half by "attrition" (or, hey! they're $500 cars!).

$1500 entry fee x 90 cars = enough to rent a premium race track for a full week. No wonder the judges are smiling all the time.
