They wanted to see if a 335i could outdo the shelby cobra in F stock. They added an intake and an exhaust to the 335, wouldn't that bump it up to a prepared/touring class?

A panel filter and cat back are legal in stock class. If the intake box or pipe is modified/removed, it would bump out of class.Matt W.

I saw that article, but if I remember-that is a stock mustang, not a shelby. I thought it was interesting how the 335 was only like .5 of a second slower than the stang with the same mods. Not bad for a four door family sedan!!!
But then again, the money difference is substantial.

The loudest cars in Club Racing are usually the small-bore IT, SM, and Prod cars that are doing everything they can think of to get another 1/2 horsepower.
