Hope everyone saw the end of the Indy 500. Second closest in history at .06 seconds. Hunter Reys pass at 225+ mph that close to the grass was incredible. I know they only turn left but talk about living on the edge for that long is something to be respected. It was fun to see and i hope others enjoyed it also.

Did see it. Pretty enjoyable towards the end. The race broke records for the most laps before the yellow flag was thrown. I went to the 86 Indy, the year Bobby Rahal won. They go by so fast you can't turn your head fast enough to watch. The Monaco Gran Prix was run early Sunday morning. Talking about a tight track and incredible speeds. What a race. I was on the edge of my chair for almost 2 hours. Rosburg won.

That was a great race. Close and clean all the way through except for the Bell three wide pass in turn one. Yikes!

Indy was great but Monaco was a bit of a let down. If Hamilton would've gotten a chance to get at Rosberg it might've been a different story but the safety car period messed up any chance at pulling off some strategy. However, Bianchi scoring a point in the Marussia was pretty cool.

The 500 didn't need any cautions it just needs better TV coverage. ABC insists on watching the top five saving fuel instead of cars making their way through the field. And at the end I really couldn't care less about the driver's wives and girlfriends!!!

... but yeah, awesome race. I know the racing snobs are down on Indycar these days because it's a spec series but they have the most entertaining races right now by far (out of the top tier series).

Seriously, what racing series isn't some sort of spec racing?

I like that in GT racing the cars at least look and sound different. Listening to Grand Am GT a couple years ago was fun - in-line 6, V8, flat 6, and rotary all on the track together.

My favorite road racing is, let the cussing begin, NASCAR...both Sprint and Nationwide series. Why...Big V8's, heavy cars, actual shifting using that stick thing and some drivers who like wheel hoping. Makes me smile.

No cussing here. I love watching NASCAR take on road courses.

Yep...those are the only two NASCAR races worth watching IMHO. Those big fat cars having to turn and brake, combined with the battering ram mindset of several of the drivers, usually makes for entertaining viewing.

Those two being Sonoma, Road America, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio, Mosport, and VIR?

The truck race at Mosport last year was awesome. We've been in this bizzaro world the last several years where the best indycar races are ovals and the best NASCAR races are road courses.

You mean the cup guys do more than 2 road courses per year these days?

Cup only does the two but Nationwide is going to Road America, Watkins Glen and Mid-Ohio. The truck series is going to Mosport and K&N East (I think) is going to VIR.

Ditto. I absolutely hate it when they do this.
