As of 2013 Point #8 I broke my Evo. I broke my transfer case and possibly my transmission.
Originally I was planning on disassembling my car at the end of 2013 for upgrades on the motor and building the drive trains ( transfer case, and Rear diff mainly). BUT, upon removing the T-case and Tranny I discover that what could have really cause the problem lies inside the tranny, the fluid from it has so much metal shavings in it, it was silver when I drained. ;(

Here's the car

Here's engine bay with almost everything removed, turbo, radiator, tranny, transfer case etc etc.

differential removed from transfer case housing.

Metal shavings from a magnetic stick

This is where the transfer case is sync on to the tranny. notice the metal shavings on it??

This came out with the T case fluid

The plan for it is to sent it all to TRE (www.teamrip.com) the transmission is going to get a stage 1 build, front open diff will be swap for a lock type LSD, and the rear diff is also going to get an upgrade to a 12 plates set up ( instead of the miss aligned 8 plates from Mitsubishi) and HD side plate, also while the rear diff is out Im also going to be replacing most/ALL the bushings with energy suspensions, and whiteline. Its going to be interesting what a real LSD and rear diff mods is going to do for me next year.
Suspension: not much is going to be change other than stiffer springs for now 600lbs front and 700lbs rear. Replacing the front lower control arms since the passenger one is BENT, upgrading rear toe arms for more toe adjust-ability, and front sway bar. Again MOST if not ALL soft stock 122k miles bushings are going to be replace with solid energy suspension/ whiteline stuff.
POWER: The motor is also going to get some upgrades, Kelford 272 cams, Valve springs and titanium retainers, ARP head studs, 1100CC injectors up from 860CC, ported turbo manifold, gonna change out the intercooler piping's as well for even quicker spool up.
Ill be posting pics of the progress as parts start to arrive at my house and installation. Any comments and inputs are welcome. C
