OK yall. I've fallen in and I can't get ooooooooooooout! Hahaha!
Thanks so much to everyone who posted to the earlier thread & who emailed & PM'd me all kinds of info about the various options for wheels, programs, links, etc. And Jedi1 was so awesome to let me come over and hog his set-up for a good while so I could get a feel for things and see how it all works. VERY helpful. Couldn't have done it without you.
Got my Logitech Momo wheel. Found first-gen GTR for $4.99 - it was a bigger pain to set up & make compatible with Vista than it was worth, frankly (thank heavens for all the geek sites with links to patches & step-by-step instructions for tweaking Vista), but it gave me something to try the wheel with for cheap, and was enough entertainment that I was still zooming around Spa - until 5:00 this morning!
