is $45,000 really worth that? All in all I imagine you would probably spend another 10 if not 20 grand on getting to all the races, eating, and staying at the race city. with the grand prize being 100k..

I got the email and I'd so like to be able to be a part of it, but the age nias thing gets well in the way of that. Shame really. Lots of talent out there when it comes to Road Racing that for one reason or another would love a shot or another shot at something like this.
It's good to see VW taking a bit of interest in Motorsport on this side of the pond. After racing VW's for years and doing everything in my power to get in front of someone at VW, It stings a bit that they won't let anyone over 26 come out and play.Comment

I applied. It's worth a shot and I'm sure I could eventually find some sponsors to cover the costs.

It's going to be hard to find sponsors to cover all of the costs. You haven't even begun to scratch the surface on how much it is going to cost.
45,000: Entry Fee
10,000: Travel and Lodging
Thats just the beginning, what if you wreck the car, what are you going to be wearing if you wreck the car, how many cars were involved in the wreck. You still have to pay for driver suit and equipment. If you wreck the car you have to pay to get it fixed and if they determine a major wreck was your fault you have to pay for all of the other cars as well.
I'm just saying it is a pretty hefty penny to pay for some TV time.Drew P.

You have a very rich fantasy life and that's good for someone your age. Eventually after years of getting beaten down you'll lose some of that imagination and start to live a little more in reality.
